So many weeks, so many things I didn't do... But because you don't really want to hear all about them, I will keep it local (to this week that is).
I did not revert back to my old ways and eat Cheeto's for breakfast two days last week. I did not do that because it is wrong. Just wrong!
I did not stay up all night last Monday night after Jim said those to magic words "go ahead"... Now don't start thinking nasty things people - that was the night that I ordered my new beauty that is coming very SOON!!!!
I did not actually write in that post that I would have a tiara and lipstick ready for her when she arrives this week.
I did not call her a her.
She is a laptop, not a her.
I did not beg, plead, bribe and eventually toss my hands up in the air and let go of my over controlling mommy'ness when Jadon walked into my room this morning wearing this:

I did not just eat the left over Milk Duds from the movie we went to yesterday.
We did not spend over $75 for 4 people to see Up. It was such a good movie by the way, but HELLO, $75??? Were those seats and popcorn made of gold? Unless your children can chug 83 gallons of Sprite in just under 2 hours, do not, I repeat, do not purchase the "family pack". I do not believe any of us ate all of our popcorn or drank all of our beverages.
Wasn't UP great?? We loved it. But why are movies so expensive?
ReplyDeleteI loved your not me monday post. Isn't getting a new laptop the best thing in all the world?
ReplyDeleteAt first I was going to express shock that anyone could go to a movie and get Milk Duds and have leftovers, but then when you mentioned the family pack of snacks, it makes perfect sense!
ReplyDeleteWe're hopefully going to take the boys to see UP on Friday, the official first day of summer vacation. My fingers are crossed, anyway. I'm eager to see it.
Oh, I missed not me mondays!
ReplyDeleteWe're lucky to have a cheap movie theater in town ($4) and we sneak dollar store candy and bottled water in for snacks! Sometimes I feel bad about it, but I get over it quickly. The only snack we ever buy there is popcorn, because you just can't beat all that unhealthy butter!
Wow...swweeeett laptop.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a pink one too but I sent hubby in for this one so it's dark blue for us.
Great Not Me Monday..love your writing style.
I love those socks. LOVE THEM!! And now, want some!!
ReplyDeleteHallie :)
Oh Lori!
ReplyDeleteWe spent $75 dollars for the four of us to see up this weekend too. How? I kept asking and re-adding everything up in my head. Tizzy came home and sat on the swing for 3 hours eating the rest of the popcorn. It was worth it. I think. Next time however, they better be lifting us up with some hot air balloons!
And I'm waiting for the picture of the tiara and lipstick.
If the four of you got away for $75 then you did good because there was only one of me and I think it ended up costing $35. Those damn Muddy Bears. And that theater is the only place that has them, too! $7.39 for 14 chocolate-covered gummi-bears? Okay, sure. As I was sobbing through the wonderousness that was Up and Partly Cloudy, I'd have to say having some comfort candy was way worth it. Yes I can justify it. Forgot the popcorn salt though, damn! I finally rememered to put it in a baggie so it WOULDN'T spill all over my purse and then I forget it.
